The Morinville Fire Department has been proudly serving our community for over 60 years.  The men and women of the department have dedicated their time to fulfill the mission statement by using training, technology and commitment in providing an exceptional service to the Town of Morinville and surrounding area. Morinville Fire Department strives to adapt, improvise and overcome the numerous challenges and risks that occur in the community. 

The hard working professionals of the department are dedicated first and foremost to protecting the quality of life for the citizens of our community through multi-level emergency response and the protection of life, property and the environment.  This is our mission and promise.

Open Fire Pit Permits:

Under the Morinville Fire Services Bylaw, permits are required for new and existing acceptable fire pits within the Town of Morinville.  Please click here for detailed information on Fire Pit Permits.

Portable Fire Pits:

Users of portable fire pits must be familiar with and follow the town of Morinville Fire Services Bylaw,  in particular but not exclusive of, section 10.1.1 "Are not less than 10 feet (3 meters) from all buildings, property lines and combustible materials and are not located over any underground utilities or under any above group wires or foliage,".  Open Fire Pit Permits are required for Portable Fire Pits as well.

The  Fire Pit Guidelines provide an example of an acceptable fire pit and may be accessed on line or requested by the Town office.


 School Tours, Courses, Alarm Drills and Special Interest Groups
