Communities in Bloom - July 25 - Morinville has once again joined the Communities in Bloom program in the non-competitive category. Help us showcase and celebrate our vibrant community through environmental responsibility and beautification, floral displays, tidiness, and heritage conservation. Help keep Morinville green and tidy!
Please keep in mind the possibility of travel disruptions and delays due to temporary road closures during St. Jean Baptiste Festival June 24-26. 100 Avenue will be closed June 25 from the Morinville Community Cultural Centre to 106 St. from 6 a.m. to noon for the pancake breakfast and parade, and parts of 98 Ave, 101 Street, 99 Ave, and 102 Street will be closed for the Show & Shine.
The Sani Dump and Splash Park will be closed temporarily from June 23 to June 26 to accomodate the St. Jean Baptiste Festival. Both the Sani Dump and Splash Park will re-open Monday June 27. We appreciate your understanding.
Best Garden Competition - July 27 -Do you have the garden that your neighbours peek over the fence at and admire? Let us know as we are looking for the best gardens in Morinville. All entries must be recieved by noon on July 22 to the Community Services Department at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre. Entry forms can be downloaded here.

Join Mayor & Council for the Annual Free Pancake Breakfast prior to the St. Jean Baptiste Parade on June 25. Breakfast will be served between 7:30 & 9:30 a.m. in front of Town Hall (10125-100 Ave.) The Town will be accepting non-perishable food items, cleansing and personal care items, and cash donations in support of the Morinville Food Bank.
Water Rates Bylaw Revisions Effective July 1, 2016: Town Council passed 3rd Reading on the Water Rates Bylaw revisions. The changes will no longer permit a tenant utility account on a go-forward basis. Only registered owners of the property can apply for services. All existing property owners with tenant accounts will be contacted in June to advise of the change.
The Town of Morinville is currently undertaking a 2016 Resident Survey to determine satisfaction with such things as civic services, financial planning & communication. This survey is available from May 15 to June 30 online or via hard copy available at the Town Office, Community Cultural Centre or Public Library. The survey can be accessed by clicking here.
Census 2016: The online portion of the Municipal Census is now closed. We are happy to report that, to date, 49% of residents have responded online and many others with enumerators at the door. Your participation is vital to ensure that programs and services are appropriately planned for in our community. Enumerators will continue to go door-to-door until June 30th, 2016.
