In the fall of 2013 the Town of Morinville retained the team of AODBT Architecture + Interior Design and Pac West Properties to provide a feasibility study outlining the various criteria that needed to be considered in replacing the Ray McDonald Sports Center Complex. Morinville committed to completing a feasibility study as part of the Sturgeon Region Recreation Master Plan Project which is a partnership between the Towns of Morinville, Bon Accord, Gibbons, Legal, Redwater and Sturgeon County.
The Feasibility Study is available for review and addresses many components such as types of amenities that could be included in a multi-use recreation facility, building construction, criteria for identifying a suitable location, and general comparisons of operating and capital costs.
